The Shoreline Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services/Tree (PRCS/Tree) Board is now accepting applications from local youth interested in joining for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Two non-voting positions are open to Shoreline residents aged 15 to 19. Youth members will contribute ideas and feedback on parks, cultural events, public art, and city planning efforts. Participants will receive $50 per meeting, as outlined in the city ordinance.
The PRCS/Tree Board advises the City Council on park design, land acquisition, and recreation planning. The City of Shoreline aims to diversify the board to better reflect the community. Meetings are held monthly at City Hall from January through October, and again in December. A hybrid format allows members to attend either in person or online. Youth members may choose to begin in July or September to align with their school schedule.
Interested candidates must submit an online application by 11:59 p.m. on June 8, 2025. Paper applications are also available at the City Clerk’s Office and must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2025. For more information and to apply, visit the official City of Shoreline website.
