A small plane made an emergency landing in an agricultural area near Feather River Boulevard and Curtis Road in Yuba County. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department reported the incident happened around 10:22 a.m. The private aircraft did not hit any objects but was damaged during the landing.
Two people on board survived with minor to moderate injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department has not released their names. The cause of the mid-air emergency is still under investigation.
According to the Yuba County Sheriff's Department on their Facebook page, deputies responded to a crash landing, secured the scene, and submitted a report to the Federal Aviation Administration for investigation. No serious injuries were reported. The department will provide updates as more information becomes available.
