In a brew of innovation and environmental advocacy, South Platte Renew (SPR) joins forces with Breckenridge Brewery to launch a celebration for World Environment Day. The collaboration between these entities, alongside the Colorado School of Mines and local environmental groups, highlights a purpose beyond mere revelry. It's about spotlighting a pioneering water reuse technology that could revolutionize resource conservation.

According to the City of Englewood, the festivities are scheduled for June 5, with volunteers rolling up their sleeves to purify local waterways from 4 to 6 p.m. But this isn’t your typical environmental spiel, there’s an actual lager on the line. Breckenridge Brewery is raising glasses to sustainability with their newly unveiled “Project Green 2025 Lager”, brewed from a technological marvel, 100% purified recycled water supplied by SPR’s own PARC PureWater Colorado demonstration trailer.

"This collaboration highlights South Platte Renew's commitment to advancing water reuse technology and demonstrating practical applications of our purification systems. The demonstration showcases how cutting-edge water treatment can support a local industry while promoting environmental stewardship," said Kacie Allard, South Platte Renew’s Deputy Director of Business Solutions, as per the City of Englewood.

The river cleanup initiative promises not just to clean, but to educate and give back. Volunteers at the event will be rewarded with a complimentary pint of the aforementioned eco-friendly lager. Plus, the after party takes an environmentally conscious twist, hosted at the Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery, located at 2990 Brewery Lane in Littleton, Colorado. And in a pledge that marries commerce with conservation, Breckenridge Brewery has committed to a $1 donation from every sale of Project Green beer to Protect Our Rivers. This organization casts a wide net in its dedication to the preservation of natural ecosystems, supporting active conservation and educational endeavors.
