As summer nears, the St. Johns County Public Library is preparing a wide array of community activities. Featuring more than 100 educational and engaging events, the Summer Reading Program aims to offer something for all ages. Launching on June 1, this year’s theme is “Color Our World,” according to a social media post from St. Johns County.
A variety of activities are scheduled, including color-themed family games, live animal presentations, magic shows, movie matinees, and arts and crafts, all designed to support learning and engagement. Reading logs are available at all St. Johns County Public Library branches. These logs function as tools to record reading activity and are linked to a prize system intended to encourage participation in the program.
Patrons interested in participating in the Summer Reading Program can visit the provided link for detailed information about the events and to plan their summer reading activities. Public libraries provide resources year-round, and the summer program includes additional activities for the community. Residents can visit any library branch to pick up free reading logs before June begins to join the program.
