The incident, involving dogs owned by Keith Mason, occurred on January 15 in the Walnut Park neighborhood. According to the Circuit Attorney’s Office website, Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore stated: “This heartbreaking event has left a family mourning and a community shaken.”
Authorities are working to understand the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack and are gathering background information on the animals involved. They are seeking details related to any prior encounters with these dogs to better understand the context of the incident.
