
St. Louis police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two men involved in an armed robbery that occurred on last Thursday, in the Old North St. Louis area. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the suspects allegedly robbed a 32-year-old woman at gunpoint after she withdrew money from an ATM.
The incident took place late at night, around 11:04 p.m., near the intersection of N. 14th St. and Madison Street where the woman, disoriented by the flashlight-equipped firearms presented to her, was pushed to the ground, and her backpack containing cash and other personal items were forcibly snatched by the perpetrators police believe had observed her at the ATM moments prior to the attack. Witnesses report that after the robbery, two suspects quickly got back into their black Pontiac G8 and fled the scene, leaving the victim on the ground.
The first suspect has been described by law enforcement as a black male, around 5'3" with a thin build, who during the event wore a black hooded jacket, black pants, black shoes, and covered his face in black. His accomplice, suspect number two, matching in height and build, chose red for his hooded jacket and like his partner, wore black pants, a face covering, and tennis shoes.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police's request for community aid comes with photos and descriptions of these individuals, the investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring these suspects to justice, the images captured from surveillance are available on the department's website while they continue piecing together this brazen crime.
