The Stockton Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in the case of a homicide that claimed the life of Michael Pruitt on New Year's Eve, 2024. The incident, which took place around 4:10 PM in the vicinity of E March Lane and Holiday Drive in Stockton, resulted in Pruitt being fatally wounded by gunfire.
In a statement on social media, the Stockton Police Department emphasized the need for community involvement, urging anyone who might have "witnessed any interaction in this general location, or have information that further assists the investigation" to contact Stockton Crime Stoppers or the Stockton Police Department Investigations Division directly at 209-937-8323.
The police have made it possible for tips to be submitted anonymously, hoping it might encourage those hesitant to come forward. Would-be tipsters have several options made available by the department: they can call Stockton Crime Stoppers Inc. at 946-0600, submit a tip online using the Stockton Crime Stoppers website, or download and use the P3 Tips Mobile App. The department has also announced that providing information that leads to a resolution in the case could render the informant eligible for a cash reward, repeating their mantra, "See Something, Say Something."
