Stoughton Police Lead Search for Missing Woman Amid Concerns for Her Mental Health

The Stoughton Police Department has issued a community alert and is currently searching for Sonia Alves, a 44-year-old woman reported missing early this morning. According to WCVB, Alves was last seen at 1:14 a.m., and is believed to be suffering from a mental health episode. The search efforts are concentrated in the area of Bento Street

Assistance in the search is coming from multiple agencies, including Metro-LEC and Massachusetts State Police. Local residents have been urged, to check their yards and outbuildings for any sign of Alves. In a bid to expand the search efforts, police had deployed K9s and drones, however, these operations have since been suspended. The search teams continue to canvass the area, as noted by Fall River Reporter.
