Heads up, Everett residents and commuters: come June 2025, after the halls have emptied their laughter and footsteps for the summer, East Casino Road will be under construction, with repaving work stretching from Bruin Boulevard to Beverly Boulevard looming. Those driving through the area should be on the lookout for message boards and signage directing traffic around the bustling work zone, according to the City of Everett announcement.
The undertaking, which is in the hands of Granite Construction, means motorists can expect a flurry of impacts including noise during the forecasted work hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and lane closures that will inevitably twist the usual flow of traffic into unexpected directions; additionally, parking along the affected route will be restricted prompting locals to find alternative spaces to stow their vehicles, as detailed in the City of Everett project notice.
Preparation is important for any journey, and the City of Everett has shared a project map to help residents deal with construction. The notice says property access and emergency routes will stay open with "minimal disruptions," though some noise and confusion from the work are expected.
