
New York City residents can look forward to a week of fairly consistent weather across its boroughs, with sunny spells giving way to increased chances of showers as the week progresses. According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast for Manhattan cites a sunny day with highs near 76 degrees and a north wind of 6 to 10 mph. Similarly, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island are expecting similar sunny conditions with slight variations in wind speed and direction.
As the night approaches, all boroughs will experience mostly clear skies with lows in the mid-50s. Starting tomorrow and heading into Tuesday, predominantly sunny mornings are forecasted, however, the chance of showers increases to 30 percent after 2 a.m. The chances of showers rise to 50 percent on Tuesday, with cloudy conditions forecasted and high temperatures hovering in the upper 60s to low 70s across the different boroughs. Despite the expected rainfall, the Hazardous Weather Outlook for the area reports no hazardous weather that would meet NWS warning criteria, for both today, and tonight.
Looking ahead to midweek, forecasts across New York City's boroughs indicate a similar trend with 'showers likely' and cloudy skies from Wednesday through to Saturday. According to the respective forecasts for each borough, the chance of showers continues at a steady 60 percent on Wednesday, tapering off slightly to 50 percent and 30 percent as the week progresses. While no hazardous weather is expected, commuters may want to prepare for the potential of light to moderate precipitation impacting their travel.
Temperatures remain mild throughout the week, peaking in the low 80s by Saturday.
