
This morning, a confrontation in Linda Vista escalated into violence, resulting in a stabbing on Lanston Drive. According to a press release from the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at 4:50 AM in the front yard of 6451 Lanston Drive, involving a 31-year-old male victim and an adult male suspect.
Officer D. O'Brien, the SDPD Watch Commander, reported that the victim was arguing with the suspect when he was stabbed twice in the upper back and shoulder with a knife. After the incident, the suspect was seen entering the front passenger seat of a small white Mercedes SUV, fleeing the scene. Described with a bald head and clothed in a brown jacket, the suspect remains at large and is said to be a black male adult in his thirties.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was quickly transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening by medical staff. As the search for the assailant continues, SDPD's Western Division Investigations has taken charge of the case.
