
A police chase in Fairfield last Saturday ended with a suspect in custody, after a vehicle failed to pull over for a traffic stop initiated by a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office. The encounter, which began in the 15000 block of Mason Road, led to a pursuit that concluded in the 26000 block of the Northwest Freeway.
After the chase concluded, authorities identified and detained the driver as Aldo Rivas. Facing charges for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, Rivas was "arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail" Constable Mark Herman's office announced via a social media post. The bond was subsequently set at $5,000.00, issued by the 487th District Court.
The Constable's Office encourages the use of the “C4 NOW” mobile app, which provides real-time information on crime, arrests, and traffic accidents. The app is one of the tools used to distribute timely updates from law enforcement to the public.
