The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office arrested a copper theft suspect twice at the same business in Westley. Richard Allen White of Vacaville, CA, was first taken into custody on May 6, while removing copper piping, as reported by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.
After a foot chase, White was caught by the Sheriff's Department helicopter. He was later released on bail. White returned to the scene of his previous alleged crime on Wednesday, this time accompanied by several individuals. When deputies arrived, he had left the area but was found hiding nearby and was arrested, as stated by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.
"White now faces additional burglary charges, as well as charges for committing a crime while out on bail," according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page. He was arrested after allegedly returning to the same location to steal copper, an offense that continues to affect area businesses.
