A husband and wife were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide early Tuesday morning in east Las Vegas. Police responded around 5:15 a.m. to a mobile home park in the 1500 block of S. Sandhill Road, according to News 3 LV.
A man in his 90s called 911 on Tuesday, reporting that his son had shot his wife and then himself. Police found a man and woman in their mid-60s dead at the scene. The caller said he was woken by the sound of a gunshot. Lt. Robert Price said, "It is a very tragic incident," and added, "It's an isolated incident, but a very tragic incident," as per News 3 LV. The investigation is ongoing.
An elderly man heard gunfire and found his daughter-in-law already shot. He then saw his son place the gun to himself before firing, as mentioned by KTNV. The street was closed for an investigation, causing traffic disruptions in the area. Lt. Price addressed the incident afterward.
