Constable Mark Herman's deputies arrested Pierce Thompson for theft at a Walmart on Thursday last week, after he allegedly removed anti-theft devices from merchandise and concealed items in his backpack. The incident took place in the 26200 block of Northwest Freeway. Thompson, who was already out on bond for a previous drug charge, was found with $738 worth of stolen goods when detained.
According to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Facebook post, during the arrest, Thompson resisted, leading to a brief struggle, but was eventually secured by deputies. He was charged with theft, and his bond was set at $1,500. The arrest adds to his legal troubles, as he was also out on a $3,000 bond for a previous possession of a controlled substance charge.
The Constable's office used its C4 NOW mobile app to share real-time updates on the arrest and other local incidents, promoting community engagement with law enforcement efforts. Thompson was booked into Harris County Jail.
