A bizarre incident unfolded in Cedar Park, near Leander High School, where a woman was caught on camera vandalizing vehicles with a shovel. On May 1, Erica Paraskevakos' surveillance footage captured a woman emerging from a black car, proceeding to smash the window of one car and the windshield of another in Paraskevakos' driveway, FOX 7 Austin reported.

The perplexing event was brought to attention when Paraskevakos' son raised an alarm. Upon reviewing the footage, Paraskevakos confirmed that she did not recognize the assailant. "I was kind of flabbergasted," she recounted in a statement obtained by FOX 7 Austin. Her initial thoughts were that "maybe an old friend sent an old friend, and so we kind of drove around. Then the more I thought about it, I was like, you know, she seems really random. Like she was barefooted in her pajamas. She looked really proud of herself. It's just bizarre."

Repairs were made to the damaged vehicles on the following Friday morning by Auto Glass Now, costing close to $1,000. Paraskevakos pointed out that the woman did not target other cars on the street and described the neighborhood as typically beautiful and safe, where "everyone looks at each other," according to more details provided by CSER.

Addressing the perpetrator, Paraskevakos' message was clear and concerned with public safety: "Please take your meds," she urged. "Mental health is important. Be self-aware. If you know you're going be a danger to society, please take your meds or have an accountability buddy at least," as she told FOX 7 Austin. Cedar Park Police assigned a detective to the case but have not released further details.
