During a routine traffic stop in the 19700 block of Tomball Parkway, things took a wild turn when a juvenile suspect decided flee from deputies. The incident, which occurred on Monday, was initially just another stop for the officers with Constable Mark Herman's Office. But as deputies approached the stopped vehicle, the young driver hastily shifted the car into drive and attempted to make a break for it, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
The ensuing chase was brief. According to a statement from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page, the vehicle found its end when it smashed into a traffic island, forcing it and its occupant to a halt. It was then the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, felt the grip of the law. But before he was detained, officers made an alarming discovery: the contender was hiding a loaded firearm, and he chosen an intimate escape - between his buttocks.
Despite the young age, the severity of the charges could not be understated. "The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center charged with Evading Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon," as Harris County Constable Precinct 4 conveyed. The action reflects a growing concern over juvenile access to firearms and the lengths they might go to keep them concealed from authority. Constable Herman suggests residents use the "C4 NOW" mobile app to stay updated on safety tips, crime news, and traffic.
