
The violence that grips our streets took a new victim in the Bronx, when a 16-year-old male was stabbed multiple times in an unprovoked assault. The attack occurred on March 9, at approximately 6:57 P.M., in front of 288 East 149 St., a location now marked by an invisible stain of blood and unanswered questions. The New York Police Department's Crimestoppers unit turned to the public to aid in capturing the assailant, who remains at large and unidentified.
According to the social media post issued by NYPD Crimestoppers, the motive for an attack is still unclear, and the search for justice has mounted to a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to the suspect's arrest. The victim, whose name has been kept from the public eye, sustained serious injuries, underscoring the savage nature of this crime. Witnesses or persons with knowledge of the incident have been urged to come forward and assist by calling 800-577-TIPS or submitting an anonymous tip online.
The NYPD has been canvassing the area, gathering surveillance footage, and conducting interviews in hopes of piecing together the circumstances that led to this brutal encounter.
