The 14-year-old juvenile, seen walking away from the stolen vehicle, was found in possession of a loaded .32 caliber Taurus handgun and burglary tools.
At approximately 12:35 a.m., the officer approached the vehicle, and the young suspect began moving away, which prompted a response. Charged and arrested, the juvenile was pulled into a system that has too often seen young lives enter but not always in a manner that guides them towards reform and recovery.
