A somber scene unfolded Sunday evening in the LaSalle Park neighborhood, as a 17-year-old boy was shot to death outside the LaSalle Park Village Apartments, located just south of downtown St. Louis. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. and has since gripped the community with a despondent awareness of the continuing violence afflicting the streets. FOX 2 Now reported that upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered the teenager with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where, despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries. The shooting occurred at an apartment complex, where the victim was found.
