
A teenager was taken to the hospital after a shooting in the Arden-Arcade area, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said. The shooting happened on Sunday afternoon near an apartment complex on Ethan Way. According to KCRA, it occurred around 3 p.m. near Middleberry Road, where investigators found several shell casings.
A 17-year-old was shot in the leg and is expected to survive. The events leading to the shooting are unclear. Deputies have not released information about a suspect. CBS News Sacramento reported many evidence markers and shell casings in the apartment complex parking lot.
The investigation into the shooting near the 1800 block of Ethan Way, north of the Alta Arden Expressway, is ongoing. The Sheriff's Office has not released information on the motive or suspects. Officers responded to the scene and are collecting evidence and following leads. The victim, a teenager, is recovering from their injuries.
