
Hilo’s Banyan Drive will have a temporary traffic pattern on Saturday for the “Hilo’s Hokule'a Ho'olaulea.” Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., traffic near Wailoa Small Boat Harbor will have lane closures and directional changes. Traffic will be limited to northbound between Lihiwai Street and the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel to accommodate event attendees, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
The southbound lane next to Liliʻuokalani Gardens will be closed to all through traffic. Drivers should expect possible delays and plan their Saturday travel accordingly.
