Stanislaus County has experienced an increase in construction site thefts. The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of three people linked to burglaries at KB Homes developments. Over ten months, the office received many reports of stolen items, including air conditioning units, water heaters, and building materials, with a total loss of about $15,490 from sites in Hughson.

Kekoa Octubre was arrested by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Unit for burglarizing two homes in Hughson and one in Patterson after a search of his residence. On May 18, detectives stopped a burglary in progress in the Hughson development using surveillance from the Sheriff's Air Unit. They arrested Adrian Ramirez-Baez and Isaias Machuca at the scene. Both were charged with burglary, conspiracy, and receiving stolen property, as reported by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, the investigation has not confirmed any connection between the three men and other thefts at construction sites. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and requests that anyone with information contact the Rural Crimes Unit.
