Early this morning, chaos erupted at the Brass Monkey nightclub in downtown San Antonio as a scuffle inside the club quickly escalated, moving out onto the streets. According to a report by KTSA, police were called to the 2700 block of North St. Mary’s around 2:15 a.m. following reports of a fight. As the confrontation spilled outside, it turned violent when one of the individuals involved drew a knife, subsequently stabbing three other men. KTSA provides the detail that all victims have been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and that the assailant has been detained by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).
Adding to the narrative, KENS 5 reported that the incident took place around 2:13 a.m., and the men wounded were all in their 20s. The fight quickly grabbed the attention of late-night revelers and turned into a more frightening scene of violence just as bars were about to close.
