A severe traffic collision involving three vehicles on South Western Avenue has left two individuals in critical condition and another in fair condition on Wednesday afternoon. The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the incident, identified as INC#1223, occurred at 2559 S Western Av in the Jefferson Park area.

The accident required the jaws of life to extricate two of the patients from the wreckage. Aged 25 and 20, both men were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Driving down the usually congested street, a downed traffic signal, unsure of what had just transpired, added to the confusion, prompting the Department of Transportation (DOT) to respond to the ensuing traffic complications. The third victim, a 40-year-old male, was reported to be in fair condition according to the LAFD alert. The Los Angeles Police Department has logged this incident as LAPD INC#3525.

Fire Station 26, Battalion 11, and various other LAFD units, including Rescue Ambulances and Heavy Rescue 3, were dispatched to the scene.
