The dog days of summer are early on the horizon and Tulsa Parks has ushered in the seasonal cheer with an announcement regarding the 2025 swim season. Starting May 24, residents can look to cool off at local water playgrounds and splash pads which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, providing a much-needed respite from the heat. However, take note that it'll officially be possible to freely swim in the four city pools starting from Saturday, May 31, stretching all the way through to Saturday, August 9—a traditional bastion of summer calm about to unfold. Tulsa Parks declared this much-anticipated schedule.

The specific pools in question include Lacy Pool, Reed Pool, Whiteside Pool, and McClure Pool, each with a dedicated closure day every week but otherwise open from either 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or from noon to 6 p.m. Tulsa families can begin to strategically plan their outings and fellowship as the city echoes with the splashes and laughter of joyful youth. Meanwhile, Chamberlain Park also promises a new venue for aquatic leisure, with a splash pad and pool set to inaugurate later in summer, though an exact date has yet to firmly be announced.

Admission for this wet and wild fun comes at a modest sum, with pool entry setting visitors back $3 per person per day. But Tulsa Parks understands the value of frequent dips in the pool during the scorching months and offers a 10-visit pool pass at the bargain bin price of $15, available at the pool locations themselves. However, those passes come with an expiration date, ceasing to be valid at the conclusion of the swim season, and it's been noted by Tulsa Parks that season passes won't make an appearance in the 2025 swim season.
