On Sunday evening around 7:45 p.m., the Amador Fire Protection District and the Amador County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of two adults stranded in a raft near the Calaveras side of the Mokelumne River. Rescue teams arrived on the scene to assist the individuals, according to FOX40.
Rescue teams responded to a stranded raft around 7:30 p.m. near Red Corral and Highway 26, as reported by ABC10. Due to rocky terrain, rescuers used a rope to move the raft and its occupants to a safer location. Both individuals were rescued; one sustained minor injuries, and the other was unharmed. The operation involved the Amador County Sheriff’s swift water rescue team and Cal Fire personnel.
The rescue teams removed two victims from the shore to the road. One rafter received minor medical treatment, and the other was uninjured. The operation followed established safety procedures.
