
The Department of Parks and Recreation has opened registration for the 2025 Summer Fun Golf Program, which begins on June 9 at the Wailua Golf Pro Shop. The program runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to children ages 7 to 15. The enrollment fee is $35 per child, as stated by the County of Kauai.
Participants must bring a putter, 5 iron, 7 iron, 9 iron, wedge, driver, and a golf bag. Casual clothing and sports shoes are required. Shoes designed for soccer, baseball, or with golf spikes are not allowed. Participants should wear casual clothing and sports shoes. A parent or legal guardian must be present and is responsible for providing snacks, drinks, and sun protection. Registration requires a waiver signed by a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized representative with Power of Attorney or a notarized document, as reported by the County of Kauai.
The county’s youth golf program at Wailua Golf Course will begin with Session 1, scheduled for June 16 to June 27. "Session 1 will run from June 16 to June 27. Mondays to Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Fridays, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.," according to the County of Kauai. Two more sessions are planned later in the summer.
