The forecast suggests a "chance of precipitation is 60%" with some areas anticipating less than a tenth of an inch of rain, although this could increase during thunderstorms. Motorists should be ready to encounter patchy fog after 10pm, while the low temperature will likly hover around 64, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The beginning of the workweek doesn't promise much reprieve from the damp conditions; Monday is looking stormy once again with a 90% likelihood of rain. Showers could arrive as early as the morning hours, with a thunderstorm possibly rolling in after 2pm. National Weather Service warns of new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, with potentially higher amounts during thunderstorms as the high reaches up to 79.
By Tuesday, the pattern is set to somewhat flip to clearer skies. Despite the ongoing chance of scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, particularly after 2pm, the forecast shows an inclination towards sunnier weather. As the high aims to peak near 76, a "Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning" is expected, according to the National Weather Service. However, the chance of precipitation is still not completely out of sight, at 60%.
The second half of the week brings a break from the rain, with sunny weather and a high near 76 expected on Wednesday. However, rain may return Thursday afternoon with a 40% chance of showers. The weekend will be mostly sunny, but showers are possible again on Saturday, showing a mix of sun and rain throughout the week in the nation's capital, as per the National Weather Service.
