The collision took place when a suspect vehicle, attempting a lane change, struck the victim's car, forcing it into an attenuator. Following the crash, the perpetrator fled the scene. According to the Washington State Patrol report, the suspect's car is believed to be a gray or blue passenger vehicle with noticeable damage on the driver's side.

Law enforcement arrived shortly after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting the serious collision. The WSP is now calling on the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and piecing together the events leading up to the crash.
