The city's Public Beautification Committee is on the lookout for the most aesthetically pleasing properties of 2025. With nominations now officially open, the committee is encouraging the community to spotlight local green thumbs and decor devotees. According to the City of West Allis recent announcement, these annual accolades recognize those who invest extra effort in the beautification and maintenance of their properties, both residential and commercial.
Those eyeing the prize can consider a variety of award categories, including Commendable Property, Best Porch, and Patriotic Display. It's a public nod of appreciation for aesthetic commitments that grace the sidewalks and streetscapes of West Allis. "Awards are given to businesses and homeowners who devote extra effort to their property’s beautification and maintenance," the Public Works Forestry Division, backing this initiative, noted in their call for submissions, as stated by the City of West Allis.
Winners receive a framed certificate, a yard sign, and are honored in a ceremony, with their property featured in a photo and video on the City of West Allis website. Nominations for Commendable Property and Best Porch are due by Tuesday, June 17, while nominations for Patriotic Display are due by Thursday, July 3.
