The West Sacramento City Council has approved a plan to redevelop the Club Pheasant site. According to the City of West Sacramento, the project will maintain the site’s historical elements while adding modern features to support its use as a community space.
Since the City took ownership in 2023, efforts have focused on preserving Club Pheasant’s historical features and supporting its role in the community. A recently approved development includes additions such as Temple Coffee, Obo Italian Eatery, and the return of the Club Pheasant Bar. The project also features new patios and outdoor spaces designed to host cultural and community events, as reported by the City of West Sacramento.
"The City stepped in as stewards of this property to prevent the loss of a historically significant site," Mayor Martha Guerrero said. West Sacramento announced plans to revitalize Club Pheasant, aiming to create over 200 new jobs and support small business growth by leasing space to local entrepreneurs. The project is expected to attract more visitors and investment to the area. "We are proud to carry forward the spirit of Club Pheasant in a way that invites new generations of residents and visitors to gather, dine, and celebrate in West Sacramento," as stated by the City of West Sacramento.
