Earlier this morning, a fire broke out at a Clearwater mobile home, sending one woman to the hospital with minor injuries. The blaze, which began at approximately 3:38 a.m. at the Twin Lakes Mobile Home Park on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, was swiftly addressed by Clearwater Fire & Rescue, who contained the flames and prevented further spread to neighboring residences.
According to a news release cited by WTSP, the woman inside managed to get out before the fire department arrived, was treated for injuries. Meanwhile, WFLA reported that not only did the incident lead to one hospitalization, but a cat within the home at the time of the incident is currently unaccounted for.
The cause of the fire is still being looked into, as noted by several local news outlets. The woman who was in the dwelling has been taken to Morton Plant Hospital, ABC Action News shares the woman was the lone occupant of the home and had managed to get to safety before the assistance arrived.
