A tragic incident unfolded in Southwest Baltimore on Mother's Day, as a 23-year-old woman was found fatally shot multiple times while seated in a car. According to FOX Baltimore, police responded to the scene on the 4100 block of Mount Wood Road around 10:41 a.m., where they discovered the victim.
Efforts were quickly made to aid the wounded woman, who was then rushed to a nearby hospital. It was there, amidst efforts to save a life on a day that honors it, where she was pronounced dead. Baltimore Police have since handed the case over to homicide detectives to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting thoroughly. As this investigation is set to start, authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing clarity and justice to this tragic event.
