Authorities are continuing the search for Tony Gebian Lopez-Infante, 32, the suspect in a hit-and-run incident that seriously injured 21-year-old Zachary Carach in Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department reported, via WKRN, that Lopez-Infante was allegedly driving a Mitsubishi Mirage when it struck Carach, who was crossing Church Street. He is facing multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to render aid, attempted evidence tampering, and driving without a license or insurance.

Lopez-Infante also has an outstanding warrant in Williamson County related to a probation violation following a prior theft arrest. The vehicle involved was later found at a rental facility in Mt. Juliet.

Federal agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, are involved in the search. According to FOX 17 News, Lopez-Infante is a Venezuelan national with a final order of removal from the U.S. issued on September 25, 2024.
