
The Metropolitan Police Department has taken into custody a 15-year-old male in connection with two theft offenses in Northwest D.C., demonstrating legal consequences for juvenile crime in the district. On a Saturday in April 2024, several suspects reportedly swept into a business on the 1000 block of F Street, making off with merchandise before scattering, and in a separate incident, the same juvenile was implicated in a March 19 theft on the 3200 block of M Street, according to the MPD release.
Following an intensive inquiry by detectives, a DC Superior Court Custody Order was issued for the young individual, and he was ultimately arrested yesterday by the Criminal Apprehension Unit, the MPD highlighted the arrest for first-degree theft under case number CCN 25044033; furthermore, the youth faces charges for an additional first-degree theft connected to case number CCN 25039506, as per the Metropolitan Police Department.
