According to the details released by law enforcement, these individuals believed that they were communicating with children online, when in fact their interlocutors were undercover agents.
During the operation, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office proactively engaged with numerous suspects online, leading to 18 individuals being taken into custody, with bonds set between $20,000 and $210,000. "Our investigators are doing the tough, often unseen work to keep Kerr County’s children safe from online threats," Sheriff Larry Leitha stated, emphasizing the importance of parental and caregiver vigilance in an age where digital platforms can harbor unseen dangers.

The charges span from one to multiple counts of online solicitation of a minor, sexual conduct or contact, and related offenses, such as failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
