Two arrests have been made in Ventura County in relation to a drug delivery operation targeting students. Edgar Nabte, 18, from Camarillo and an unnamed male juvenile have been taken into custody, according to reports. A news release from Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and corroborated by KTLA News, details the culmination of a multi-agency investigation that resulted in the seizure of numerous illicit items.

After becoming aware of the drug delivery service in April and May, the Ventura County Fentanyl and Overdose Crimes Units (VC FOCUS), assisted by local enforcement units, executed search warrants in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks. Nabte was taken into custody on May 21, while the juvenile suspect was located two days later, according to a narrative provided by Detective Oren Ryerson. Amongst the items seized were 47 marijuana vape devices, 62 nicotine vape devices, 18 containers of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, and a sizeable amount of loose marijuana, along with over $5,000 believed to be proceeds from the drug sales.

Nabte faces charges including the sale of a controlled substance to a minor and conspiracy to commit a crime, with his bail set at $50,000. The juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy, as well as driving without a license. Both the Sheriff’s Office report and KTLA provided these details.
