On Monday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a man was fatally shot at an apartment complex parking lot on Cottingham Street in Houston, according to the city's official news portal. Responding officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound, and Houston Fire Department paramedics swiftly transported him to an area hospital where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. An investigation ensued, leading to the identification and arrest of 18-year-old Julian Desselle.
Desselle faces charges of manslaughter and tampering with evidence, as reported by City of Houston News. He was booked into the Harris County Jail, without incident yesterday. A booking photo of the suspect has been released by authorities. Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased young man, also 18, remains undisclosed pending notification of next of kin by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Investigators with the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, Sergeants M. Burrow and R. Watson, are handling the case, they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
