In a tragic turn of events, a 3-year-old boy has been killed with his mother, and twin sister left in critical condition after a hit-and-run incident in Livonia, Michigan. According to The Detroit News, the family was hit last night while crossing Merriman Road at Lyndon Street, an area near where the Livonia Spree festival was wrapping up for the evening.
The children were immediately assisted by onlookers who witnessed the crash, whereupon officers arrived at around 10:45 p.m. and rendered aid. The boy and his sister were taken to a hospital by the officers, while the 28-year-old mother was transported by the Livonia Fire Department, as reported by CBS Detroit.
