A reckless driving incident in Southwest Waterfront ended with a white 2021 Freightliner Cascadia crashing into a building on Thursday last week. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that 58-year-old James Paris III, from Northeast D.C., was arrested following the collision at the corner of 4th Street and E Street.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m., causing minor structural damage to the building. Paris remained at the scene and was charged with reckless driving. The circumstances leading to the crash are under investigation, and it is unclear if other vehicles were involved.
