A fatal collision on M-40 near 64th Avenue in Van Buren County's Antwerp Township claimed the life of a 64-year-old Lawton woman on Thursday afternoon. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office reported, that the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. and involved two vehicles. Upon their arrival at the scene, deputies found one of the drivers unresponsive.
Efforts to revive the woman were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has yet to be released. According to WOODTV, a juvenile passenger, in the same car was also injured, along with the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash. Both were taken to Bronson Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
