The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office said that the man was heading east when his pickup truck veered off the road, struck a large rock and then a tree, which resulted in the driver's ejection from the vehicle. According to information obtained by WISN, authorities are investigating what caused the crash to occur. Emergency services from the sheriff's office and the Village of Salem Lakes Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene on State Highway 50 and 75th Street shortly after the incident was reported.

First responders attending the crash site found severe damage to the vehicle. "The pickup truck operator, and sole occupant, was fully ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner's Office," detailed a report by West of the I.
