The city of Akron's Lock 3 Park was abuzz with activity and joy as the community gathered for "Our First Cruise into Summer Event." According to a social media post by the Akron Police Department, the evening was packed with festivities that included food, games, music, and dancing. The event, which took place the previous night, also featured a scooter obstacle course and a t-shirt launch, providing an array of entertainment for all ages.
While the temperatures rise, signaling the beginning of summer, attendees found respite in the frozen treats provided by Kona Ice. The Akron Police Department's efforts to connect with the community were on full display, as they thanked the Ron Marhofer Auto Family for sponsoring the ebullient occasion.
Acknowledgments were also extended to various partners who played a role in bringing this event to fruition.
