
A motorcycle accident on Basil Road has left a local man hospitalized after a collision with a deer just southeast of Swanville, Minnesota. The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of June 10, involved 66-year-old Kenneth Fischer of Albany, MN, who was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital following the collision.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office received a report of the accident at approximately 3:24 pm and responded alongside the Swanville First Response Team. According to a statement released by the Sheriff's Office, Fischer was traveling south on Basil Road north of 75th Street when a deer stepped into the road. The resulting impact between the motorcycle and the animal caused unknown injuries to Fischer, necessitating urgent medical attention.
Emergency medical services, including Life Link III and Mayo Clinic Ambulance, were dispatched to assist at the scene. Fischer's condition at the time of the report was not made public by authorities, and details regarding the extent of his injuries remain undisclosed.
