In an operation that quickly shifted from a high-speed chase to a coordinated capture, Arapahoe County SWAT deputies apprehended a group of thieves who attempted an evasive escape after their vehicle was involved in a multi-car crash, as detailed in a social media post by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. The incident, which occurred on May 30, began when Deputy Mason identified a white Jeep displaying fictitious plates driving recklessly on S. Parker Rd., according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. Attempts to pull over the Jeep led to a high-speed evasion, resulting in a collision that injured a family.
Despite their frantic dash, two suspects, a male and a female, were found and detained with the assistance of SWAT by Patrol Sgt. Norris. Having fled the accident scene, a third female suspect was later discovered at a Dollar Tree store nearby. They left a fourth suspect at large, who remains unidentified according to the law enforcement agency's Facebook post. The impounded Jeep was found to be laden with stolen goods from the Town of Parker.
The apprehended individuals, identified as Deandre Peebles, 32; Maria Cox, 22; and Autumn Anderson, 39, now face a string of criminal charges. As the sheriff's office publication illuminates, these include felony eluding, vehicular assault, speeding, reckless driving, and other violations covering a broad spectrum of unlawful activity. The thwarted getaway has landed the trio in Arapahoe County Jail, each awaiting due process.
