Meant to enrich the lives and environment of Arlington's community, their grants have reached a diverse range of city departments and nonprofit organizations. Looking for individuals with varied professional and volunteer experiences, they encourage candidates with an understanding of philanthropy to step forward, who, having lived the challenges and triumphs of the city, represent its dynamic character.
As cited by the Office of Communication, potential candidates must be residents of Arlington and should be prepared to meet up to six times annually over a two-year term. A subcommittee of the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's board members will conduct interviews that will be open to public record, ensuring transparency in the selection process.
