An Austin man faces a charge of first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of his brother in the northeast part of the city, in a distressing turn of family relations. Austin Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, received a confession from Tevin Stewart, who admitted to the shooting, calling 911 thereafter, and this tragic incident marked the city's 28th homicide of the year, according to FOX 7 Austin. The responding medics discovered Warren Stewart with a gunshot wound that subsequently claimed his life; details of what may have precipitated the deadly encounter between the Stewart brothers have not been made public by the authorities.
Further information from a KXAN publication reveals that the Austin Police Department confirmed the arrest through a press release and identified the deceased. After ATCEMS arrived on the scene around 10:28 p.m. last Friday and realized a shooting had occurred, APD was summoned, and at 11:09 p.m., Warren was pronounced dead.
