With daily chances for showers and thunderstorms increasing through the end of the week, and a frontal boundary setting up camp nearby through Friday, it’s shaping up to be a stormy stretch. "Thunderstorm development should be rather widespread," the National Weather Service cautions, with steepening low-level lapse rates threatening a damaging wind signature in stronger cells and potential flash flooding.

Baltimore has been thrust back into record-breaking territory with today's potential to rival past temperature highs—take Annapolis, for example, where the previous high of 98 degrees Fahrenheit for June 26 could be surpassed.
