A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that shook South Baltimore earlier this week. Melvin Scott, a 32-year-old Baltimore resident, faces first-degree murder charges after being apprehended by police. The swift arrest followed a shooting incident that left 47-year-old Adam Brown dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to FOX Baltimore, officers found Brown inside a residence on the 3400 block of Round Road at 9:16 p.m. on June 8. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The subsequent investigation, led by homicide detectives, pointed to Scott as a suspect.
Scott was taken into custody during a car stop yesterday in the 800 block of Seagull Avenue, as reported by Shore News Network. Authorities have not yet revealed a motive for the shooting. After being charged, Scott was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
